The use of drugs is rapidly taking a foothold in both public and private sector universities in Pakistan. This is an alarming situation, a concern for the intelligentsia, and a threat to the prosperity of Pakistan. Saman Sunny, Director Rehabilitation at Sunny Trust told in an interview with PTV that opioids, cannabis, marijuana, and crystal methamphetamine are used mostly in educational institutions and local streets. Miss Saman talked about the gravity of the issue in public sector universities and what compels students to get into substance abuse. She told that our youth is under psychosocial stressors.
