Sunny Trust in collaboration with the Department of Public Administration, Fatima Jinnah Women University organized a seminar on “Drug Abuse Awareness and Prevention” on 28th Nov, 2018. There were 80 participants including teachers and students of University. Dr. Asma Khalid, Incharge, Department of Public Administration, FJWU welcomed Sunny trust team members; Ms. Asia Ashraf, Director Rehab, and Humphrey Fellow, Ms. Sahrish Ruba, Case Manager, and Mr. Hassaan-e- Mohammad, Recovering Role Model. Ms. Sahrish Ruba, gave the presentation on Sunny Trust introduction and methodology, drug abuse awareness, and its ill effects. Ms. Asia Ashraf talked about myths about drug addiction, the role of parents, teachers, and community in the prevention of addiction. She also discussed the Role of Sunny Trust, the initiative of “Recovery Club” and upcoming project “Sakoongah” for female drug use. Whereas Mr. Hassaan-e-Mohammad shared his story and talked about the awareness of the stigma of mental health illness and addiction. The question-answer session with Sunny Trust Team was done and feedback was also taken by the students which were very effective. At the end of session \"Anti-Drugs Awareness and Prevention,” walk was done around FJWU campus.
